Cerec is a revolutionary way to restore damaged or infected teeth in a SINGLE VISIT! Making your teeth beautiful, and stronger than ever before. Some of the advantages are, the restoration can be completed in a single appointment, usually in about an hour. No impressions have to made and nothing has to be sent to the lab, therefore no inconvient second appointments. Also the resotration is natural looking beacuse it is made of tooth-colored ceramic material that is high grade, anti-abrasive, plaque resistant and highly compatible with all the tissues in your mouth. One of the most important advantages is we can be extremely precise which allows us to conserve healthy tooth!
How does cerec work? First we prepare the damaged tooth by applying a thin layer of reflective powder on the tooth's surface. Using a special camera, we then take a picture of the tooth, which creates a pin-sharp optical impression of the tooth. Computer Aided Design technology allows us to design a restoration from the optical impression. You can actually watch us design your new restorationon on a full-color montior right before your eyes.
The restoration is then milled in our own cerec milling chamber in office, usually in less than 10 minutes! Finally we bond in the newly milled restoration to the tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.
